Where are the limits of what can be said? A well-known PR manager calls the federal leader of the Greens a “green bin” and reaps a shitstorm. For the PR woman, this is a sign that you live in a humorless world. You just wanted to draw attention to the CO2 balance of meat consumption.
The PR manager Alexandra Freifrau von Rehlingen-Prinz caused horror with an Instagram post about the federal chairwoman of the Greens, Ricarda Lang. She provided this with a photo:
“Do everything we can to finally get on the 1.5-degree path when it comes to climate protection. If the green bin were vegan… the climate would be helped.”
Rehlingen himself decided to go vegan about a year ago and supports the animal welfare organization PETA. About the shitstorm that followed her post, she wrote:
“I don’t want to offend anyone, I just wanted to raise awareness. Everyone knows that eating animals is much worse for the carbon footprint than, say, driving a diesel. The person was just the vehicle that inspired me (…). We live in a humorless world.”
The PR expert counts brands such as Armani, Vivienne Westwood, La Perla, Feinkost Käfer and Montblanc among her clients and moves in international high society. In the end, she decided to delete the post from her private Instagram account.
