Iranian general threatens to destroy Tel Aviv — RT EN

The commander of Iran’s ground forces warned the Israeli government against “miscalculations” that could lead the Iranian army to “raze” Israeli cities.

Iranian Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari, commander of the Iranian Armed Forces’ Ground Forces, on Tuesday warned the Israeli government that any “mistakes in dealing with Iran” could lead to the destruction of the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa, Iran’s Tasnim news agency reported. The news agency is closely associated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

Heidari, speaking at a military ceremony in Iran’s northwestern province of East Azerbaijan, warned Israeli government officials that a “miscalculation” on their part could prompt Iranian forces to “remove Israeli cities” on orders from Iranian revolutionary leader Ayatollah Seyed Al Khamenei level with the ground”.

The Iranian commander also condemned Israel for occupying Muslim territories. At the same time, Heidari expressed the hope that these areas would be part of the Islamic world again within 25 years.

The top Iranian commander went on to praise the achievements of the Iranian army as “a thorn in the enemy’s side.” All units of the Iranian ground forces are equipped with precision weapons, long-range weapons and intelligent weapons, according to Heidari. He added:

“The range of the army ground forces’ drones and operational missiles has been extended.”

General Heidari referred to the Iranian army’s strategic drone base “313” and explained that the arming of the Iranian armed forces would serve to react to any “foolish attack by the country’s enemies”, as reported by the Iranian news agency Fars.

In December 2021, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi had warned Iran’s “enemies” that any military move on their part would elicit a decisive response from Iranian forces that would significantly shift the strategic balance in the region.

In addition, in April this year, the chief of staff of the Iranian armed forces, Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri, said that all Iranian armed forces are ready to respond to any threat at any level so decisively and devastatingly that the “enemies of Iran” would regret taking hostile action against the existing order in Iran.
