As Senior Sales Expert Public Transport (m/f/d) you will be responsible for order entry and revenue by closing profitable deals in the field of public transport with your knowledge of the market and the challenges in the travel, transport and public (ÖPNV; DB AG).
Other exciting tasks are:
Acquisition of projects and services in the responsible portfolio Deal ownership for strategic new business projects and services in cooperation with account sales/other public units in the public transport industry (railways, DB AG, public transport) Management/negotiation of large deals up to the signature by the customer and coordination of internal and external service units, often from several public units in cooperation with the solutions management and solution architect. Accompanies the business development for the portfolio of digital solutions or a combination of several project units (new business with existing & new customers) by advising the customer on customer benefit-oriented Solutions as a trusted advisor based on in-depth industry knowledge (e.g. ICTS, 5G Campus Edge, IOT, Data Intelligence, see below). Together with account manager, development and maintenance of a comprehensive customer business plan, with a focus on new business (hunting) Ensuring the fulfillment of the specific targets for incoming orders, sales and EBIT Technical management and coordination of interdisciplinary and cross-industry national as well as international qualification and offer teams. Prepare offers and carry out presentations to the customer’s decision-makers. Ensuring continuous improvement of an innovative and market-oriented portfolio through regular exchange of customer experience and best practice with portfolio management and delivery Establishment and maintenance of customer relationships, also at C-level in the industry, public transport, European railways, transport & logistics Experience in customer development with international major customers Industry know-how and existing network in decision-making circles in the rail and public transport (ÖPNV) industries Ability to develop industry-specific “use cases” in the context of rail, public transport and traffic management smart mobility
You have successfully completed your studies and already have 5 professional experience in IT/project and service companies.
You also have the following skills:
5 years + professional experience in account sales/ expert sales of systems integration services and projects (consultative selling) Knowledge of negotiation methods/purchasing processes of international major customers Skills along the sales value chain from the initial acquisition to the conclusion of the deal Verifiable successfully completed deals (greater than 5 M€) Ability to take on various roles in international deal teams Several years of experience in conducting negotiations with purchasing organizations of major customers Digitization experience, project management experience Proven access to decision-makers in the field of public transport / DB AG Several years of sales experience (with completion) of large projects in the field of public transport Sound knowledge IT know-how in the cloud, analytics, IOT, …… and rail-specific applications/solutions (traffic management, passenger information, ticketing, critical rail) Experience in leading virtual teams Very good English and German knowledge (business fluent) Knowledge of modern methods and procedures of IT development and service Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (50%)
